ARTISTS 2025 (A to Z)
AEON (Sweden)
Aeon, the Swedish kings of technical death the American way, were booked for the 2022 festival which unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. We have been trying to get the band back ever since and now it is finally time again. This will also be the band’s return to the live stage after 10 years. Prepare yourself for a pure anti-Christian attack where no prayers are enough to ward off this death squad from Jämtland.
BEWITCHED (Sweden)
Bewitched’s return to the live scene in 2020 was of course not missed by House of Metal, and the band was instantly invited to play the festival. Since then, the band has once again traveled around the world and played countless gigs. The band was formed back in 1995 and has since released five full-length albums of blackened Speed/Thrash/Heavy Metal, and it is also rumored that the band is working on a new album. Could there be a taste of it during the 2025 festival?
BOMBUS (Sweden)
Bombus from Gothenburg is back with a new album, “Your Blood”, which marks the dawn of a new musical chapter. With this album, Bombus takes a slightly different path, but fans needn’t worry; Bombus’ essence remains intact.
“Your Blood” is classic Bombus with a twist—a mix of heavy metal and classic rock, with layer upon layer with modern elements. The record still resonates with the band’s core influences such as WASP, Motörhead and Metallica. But this album also introduces elements of Sisters of Mercy and Queens of the Stone Age, which fuse with a classic rock feel. The result is a Bombus that feels familiar, yet refreshingly new.
CRUCIFIED BARBARA (Sweden)
Nearly 20 years have passed since Crucified Barbara released the debut album, and to celebrate the anniversary of the hard rock jewel, ”In Distortion We Trust”, Crucified Barbara will reunite on stage for the first time in ten years. And of course we made sure to bring the band to House of Metal.
Crucified Barbara is a band that has always walked its own path. A group unafraid of exploring both dark metal and heartfelt ballads, blending the soft and the heavy to create their own unique hard rock brew. Now, they’re back to once again deliver that brew live, in a celebration showcasing the best from their four albums: ”In Distortion We Trust” (2005), “Til Death Do Us Party” (2009), ”The Midnight Chase” (2012), and ”In The Red” (2014).
FRANTIC AMBER (Sweden)
Frantic Amber is a Melodic Death Metal-band based in Stockholm and currently consists of five female musicians. Their sound is an intense mix of heavy riffs and soaring melodies with elements of Thrash and Black Metal combined with aggressive growling vocals. The band will release a new album in 2025, and a new single with an accompanying video is promised to be released shortly. The band’s live show is described as an explosive whirlwind of energy with a strong stage presence and unique charisma. In other words, a band that you don’t want to miss live.
THE HAUNTED (Sweden)
The Haunted are already familiar in the House of Metal context as they have visited the festival during previous editions, in fact more times than any other artist. The band is currently working on their first new album in nine years, which will be the band’s tenth full-length since their start back in 1997. The band has also previously won Grammys no less than twice in the category “Hard Rock of the Year”. With both old and new material in their luggage, we welcome back this melodic Death/Thrash/Groove platoon for a fourth time to let them clash on the Idun stage.
LUCIFER’S CHILD (Greece)
Lucifer’s Child were formed in Athens, Greece during 2013 by George Emmanuel (ex. Rotting Christ) and Stathis Ridis (ex. Nightfall). The first full length album of the band, “The Wiccan”, was released in 2015, followed by their second album, ”The Order” released in 2018. The band has also released a split-EP together with Brazil’s Mystifier in 2022. A new album entitled “The Illuminant” is due to be released on March 28th 2025. The band deliver a Black Metal sound that is very unique for Greek Metal and will surely be appreciated by fans of acts such as Rotting Christ, Nightfall, Varathron and more.
NESTOR (Sweden)
Nestor is the melodic hard rock band from Falköping that seemed to appear out of nowhere and take the world by storm! Originally formed in 1989 without releasing anything, but reunited after a long break, the band’s debut album “Kids in a Ghost Town” was released in 2021 and the success was a fact. Many of us read the Swedish magazine OKEJ in the 80’s and all of a sudden Nestor treated us to a real old-school Power ballad duet, signed the 2000’s, together with none other than 80’s icon Samantha Fox. And this is precisely where Nestor’s greatness lies – being able to awaken nostalgia in old hard rock souls, but also at the same time appeal to a whole new generation with their classic hard rock done with world-class.
VINTERSORG (Sweden)
Vintersorg made a grand comeback to the live scene during House of Metal 2017. Formed in Skellefteå back in 1994, they have since created a strong position among Viking/Folk metal fans around the world, but have also experimented with a more progressive sound on records like “Cosmic Genesis”, “Visions from the Spiral Generator” and “The Focusing Blur”. For the 2025 festival, the band returns once again with a new upcoming album in their luggage and an exclusive evening in the Vintersorg spirit is guaranteed.
